Michelle Trachtenberg hails from New York City and is a model, actress, and American. Although her grandparents reside in Israel, she is religious and observes Christian Christmas and other holidays. She claimed that she attended Catholic high school as it was cheaper as compared to the Jewish. Her mother Lana is a bank supervisor as is the father Michael Trachtenberg is a fiber-optics engineer. Michelle Trachtenberg began her career at a young age. She has played in several commercials, films, as well as television shows. Most famously, she is Dawn Summers, the regular character from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Michelle Trachtenberg was raised in Brooklyn, Sheepshead Bay with her twin sister Irene. She attended The Bay Academy for the Arts and Sciences in the year she was an elementary school student. Later, she received her education at Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California. She speaks Russian. Trachtenberg won many awards including the Young Artist Award from the Sarasota Film Festival. She was also a nominee in the Teen Choice Award (youngstar award), Saturn Award (saturn award) and Daytime Emmy Award.
